Cinco de Mayo & Quinceaňera Extravaganza

Celebrate with Third Avenue  Village one of the biggest fiestas of the year! Cinco de Mayo is a holiday that commemorates Mexico ’s historical battle over the French in 1848. This event continues to be one of Third Avenue Village ’s biggest events of the year bringing over 200 vendors and 40,000 people in attendance.

The 12th Annual Cinco de Mayo to be held on Sunday, May 3 from 11:00 am to 7:00pm, between E and G Streets will feature live entertainment by the Southwestern College School of Arts and Communication; authentic Mexican food and beverages from different Third Avenue Village restaurants and other food vendors; arts and crafts; a kids’ fun zone with mechanical rides; singing, dancing, and salsa contests at our main F Street stage; a Beer Garden at Maria Cadenlaria Mexican Restaurant from 11am to 7pm with beer and appetizer specials, located at 323 Third Avenue; a Quinceaňera event and fashion show at Memorial Park Bowl; and best of all, admission is free.

At Memorial Park Bowl, enjoy the Quinceaňera Extravaganza and learn how this special day in a fifteen-year old young lady’s life is celebrated with pride. See the beautiful dresses at a fashion show; enjoy live entertainment by Banda Tesoro del Pacifico; Julio Mayo, celebrity impersonator; Mariachis, and ballet folklorico.
